You're on a scenic route through a state recreation area, you ask a passer-by for direction, only to find out she has no face or something.
Suddenly up ahead, a door in the road, you swerved narrowly avoiding... The Scary Door.
That sums up what I've been feeling this whole day. It kinda weird.. Feel like something is missing/wrong but couldn't figure it out. New year celebration by blogging about my weird feeling in my pathetic little room. Happy New Year everyone !
More photos from Gaya Street Christmas celebration...

Last note is the MC for tonight event was horrible. The I'm back at Kota Kinabalu, (pronounced as kay kay), Sabah. After finished all the missions in GTA:San Andreas, I managed to move my butt and grab the camera to go out for some photos.
The best part about kay kay is you can find a beatiful beaches and sky (the sky here is so much blue-er than other places) and the sound of jet plane flying overhead (for aviation geek like me)

Did I mention that the sunset in kay kay is SO beautiful ?More photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/lawrenz/

10/11/2007 (Sat)
Having heard of this rally from the internet, I pack up camera, plastic bag(to cover the camera), and off to Dataran Merdeka.
At 8 a.m. I took a bus from my hostel to campus, then midway, roadblock, shit, cause i was wearing a yellow shirt, but the police didn't stop the bus, probably because it was a Uni bus. By the way, i went to campus because i have exam on that day.
At 12.40 p.m. Finally arrived at Central Market after enduring traffic jam caused by the road block by the police. Wandering around Central Market, then a lot of policemen with bat were patrolling in a group of 4.
At 1 something, Dataran Merdeka was already closed, i guess since early morning.

Foreign journalists were present for this historic day

Crowds at Masjid Jamek

By the way, read more comprehensive report at jeffooi.com, malaysia-today, water-cannon video, tear-gas video, and of course goverment-owned thestar. It's a shame for the local journalists, if you read or view the local media station report about this rally. They quote only 4,000 people showed up, but i think the real figure was over 30,000.
This is a milestone for the country's democratic process, the people has shouted their will, and will continuosly demand for democracy.
" People should not be afraid of the goverment, the goverment should be afraid of the people. " - Quote from V for Vendetta you'll most probably heard of.
