While the Germans can drink beer all day long during oktoberfest, the kadazans (well, not only kadazan, more like everyone in Sabah) celebrate Harvest Festival or more well know here as Tadau Tagazo do Kaamatan (i hope i got it right). This festival is an all month long festival and end at 30th and 31st of May which is also a public holiday ONLY at Sabah.
On the 30th and 31st , there were some sort of celebration / exhibition kinda thing at KDCA, where kadazans from all over the places come here, build their houses and showcase their costumes, dance steps etc to everyone. And, they serve beer as well. It's not a Budweiser, it's a homemade beer which is made up of rice, and other things which resulting in a very bitter taste. Well, I decided to wake up at 8 so I can go there early, but I woke up at 10 and arrived at 11 something, sigh. Anyway, here are the photos from the events. Due to the amount of the photos, I will split it into 2 or 3 posts.
